The Contrec 515-BC03 is a dual stage batch controller built on the 515 platform, reading a mass frequency or analogue flowmeter signal to control batch deliveries in two stages, a fast fill followed by a slow trickle to bring the batch in accurately without overshooting on a fast-closing valve.
Being on the 515 platform, it carries the same solid hardware base as the rest of the family: multiple analogue and frequency inputs, RS232/RS485 or Ethernet communication with Modbus support, and relay outputs for valve control. Because it reads a mass-rate signal rather than a raw volumetric pulse, this is the version we’d point a customer to when the flowmeter itself already outputs mass flow, or when the process needs batching by mass rather than volume.
Before we quote this, we would normally confirm the flowmeter’s actual output type and signal characteristics, and whether the customer’s process really needs mass-based batching or if a volume-based 515 application would suit them better. Hope this helps.
