The Contrec 120A Level Monitor turns a standard 4-20mA analog level sensor into a clear, at-a-glance display of tank level and contents. A 20-segment LCD bar graph shows level as a proportion of the full span, while a separate 7-digit numeric display reads out contents in whatever engineering unit the installer chooses, whether that’s litres, gallons, or a custom volume unit tied to the shape of the tank. Because it draws its power entirely from the 4-20mA loop it monitors, there’s no external power supply or internal battery to install or maintain.
For tanks that aren’t a simple straight-sided shape, a 25-point non-linear correction table lets the 120A translate a raw sensor signal into an accurate volume reading even where level and contents don’t scale together evenly, such as horizontal cylindrical or irregular tanks. Four programmable level alarms with open-collector outputs can drive external relays or indicators for high, low, or intermediate level conditions, and all configuration is retained in non-volatile memory. The weatherproof housing and choice of wall, panel, or pipe mounting make it easy to fit wherever the tank installation calls for it.
